My journey as a photographer
My name is Kate Balazs and I am an enthusiastic photographer who would like to use this way of art to show and share with everyone our beautiful planet and its majestic wildlife.
Taking pictures and having them in albums was something dear to my family. I won my first film camera as a child, after gathering stickers of our planet's animals in a contest. Later on I managed to save money and buy a Nikon bridge camera with a very good zoom range.
Another favourite activity done with my family was going outdoors either with our bicycles, hiking, wild camping, discovering the beauty that mother nature has to offer. Continuing this tradition with my husband, everything became more serious after our first visit at Lake District, Cumbria-England. There I actually felt the need of a better camera and more knowledge for capturing all that surrounds us and also wanting to share it with everyone. So after our holiday, I bought my first Canon DSRL and from then on it was uphill with combining both my passions.
Recently I upgraded to a mirrorless camera and built this website, small steps towards my dream of sharing pieces of Earth in your homes too.

Where possible, we try our best to be plastic free and recycle our own materials.
*Bio-degradable and Compostable bags: These bags are made in the UK from film that has been accredited to ‘OK biobased’ and DIN EN 13432. They are made from annually renewable PLA derived from corn or similar starches (potato etc.) and are fully Biodegradable. Only thing to avoid is prolonged exposure to humidity - avoiding excessive heat, moisture and light will maximise shelf life.
Biodegradation info:
All our biofilm bags are fully biodegradable which means that they break down to CO2 and water which can then be reused in the eco system to make new plants. This will happen in either in home or commercial composting or landfill. They will still break down to CO2 and water but in commercial composting the temperature will be higher and the process is much quicker.
